A little Surprise

There is nothing better than getting your packages in the mail, opening it up and wait there is something more....A tea blossom hmmm I am not a very big tea drinker but this looks really neat. I open the package and at first glass its an ugly ball of grass
but I follow the instructions and get an amazing flower bloom in my glass. I don't drink tea but I kept it by me side until the wonderful jasmine sent left.
Afterwards I went back to see what else peach had sent me .

Dianna Weaver is the Owner of etsy shop bagsnstuff. In her shop you find a variety of gift like her just ponies in almost any material from skulls to ladybugs! She also makes notecards from pictures she has taken that make perfect thank you notes or gift tags! Here is my short interview with Dianna

Q: What do you love about etsy? I love Etsy for the way it is set up. Etsy has it all fixed so everything to do with setting up your shop is so easy to do. I like the forums because when you have questions, you can post them there and get so many answers from lots of people. Everyone is so helpful for new people coming in to open up a shop and of course us ole timers too. I like the threads too, especially the B N R threads, they are so fun and you get to talk to lots of great people. I get lots of neat gifts from the B n R thread.I just love all of Etsy.

Q: How long have you been crafting? well about 47 years at least. I took all the art classes in high school, now that was many years back. I had a major and minor in art. I did lots of crafty things while in highschool too.

Q: What inspires your crafting? I love taking pictures and I love lots of bright colors. Some times I dream of things and then get up and make whatever was in my dream, guess I sleep and think at the same time . Fabrics sometimes get me going off on another craft adventure.

Q: Tell us a funny or interesting story related to your craft? I crochet on flip flops, I use the fancy yarns, ribbons, lace, beads and what ever else I can find to make them different from any one elses. When at a festival in Illinois, all my flips were on a large wooden stand, there was a group of ladies with their kids. They all had there shoes off and trying on the flip flops, they were saying try these on and passing them to each other, and their kids had there shoes off too doing the same thing. I took pictures of them all having such a good time ...they did not know it. It was just fun watching them pick out their own special pair of flip flops. My flips were all over the ground but I had a tarp on the ground to keep them from getting dirty. These ladies ended up buying 8 pairs of flip flops, they even bought them for their grandkids that were not there. They wanted to know if I would be back there next year and of course I said I sure will be...they said they would see me next year and get more of the flips from me then. so that was pretty exciting for me and fun for them too.

Dianna also makes these wonderful glass marble magnets in a variety of themes. At the moment She is exclusively on etsy so get over there and check out her shop at http://bagsnstuff.etsy.com .

Retro Humour

I'm loving the Retro Humour from myheart2yours

You can definitely tell katie lyn has a fun sense of humor from peeking around her shop!

Here is my interview with Katie Lyn
Q: What do you love about etsy?
A: I was looking for a way to sell my scrapbooks on a site other than the E one that charges a lot of fees just for listing.

Q: How did you choose your shop name?
A: I chose my shop name, My Heart To Yours, because I always signed my work with that phrase. There is no way that we, as artists, can charge enough to cover all the time and energy plus materials. There have been some altered albums that I have created that took 20+ hours to create, yet the market would only bear $55.00 when the album was sold. I truly believe that those situations were "works of the heart."

Q: What is the funniest thing that happened to you while doing your art/craft?
A: Well, it's not funny really, but when I glitter up something and then my cat has to come help and his tail gets glitter all over it!

Q: If you had unlimited funds and unlimited skills and could create anything you want what would it be?
A: I would embellish my new car with Swarovski crystals along the pin striping and door handles and wherever my heart lead me to embellish. You can never have too much bling or embellishments!

Katie Lyn is a professional Math Educational Specialist. She tutor's students of all levels of math throughout the year. Her busiest times are Aug through May. However, when she is not doing math, She makes really cool things.
You can find her on her etsy site from myheart2yours
her blog: http://www.katiepaper.blogspot.com
Additional Link that might someday become a website: http://www.scizzorspaperrock.com/ (right now it forwards to her etsy store)
Go take a look for more funnies!

Got a Baby?

Got a baby or know someone who is having a baby? ellebelleonetsy has the perfect gift in her shop! I love these tag blankets how I wish my babies were still babies....well maybe not quite but I think it will be the next baby shower gift I give!

Now of course I gotta know more and I'm sure you want to as well, so here is my little interview with ellebelleonetsy

Q: What do you love about etsy?

A: I love everything about Etsy! All the amazing handmade items, all the creative descriptions people write for their listings, the interesting conversations in the forums, the way cool approach Etsy admin takes, and just being a part of this community in general.

Q:How did you choose your shop name?

A: My daughter's name is Elle and a good friend of mine always called her Elle Belle, so it stuck.

Q: What is the funniest thing that happened to you while doing your craft/art?

A: had just bought my embroidery machine and decided it was a great idea to bring it with me to a craft show and embroider baby bibs on the spot. I had no idea was I was doing, and it was windy, so my supplies were blowing everywhere. Looking back I can laugh about my "Extreme Embroidery" experience, but it wasn't funny at the time.

Q: Where else can people find you?

A: You can find Elle Belle on ellebelleonline.com which links to my Etsy shop ellebelleonetsy.etsy.com and my blog ellebelleblog.blogspot.com

I also love these cute dresses they are so adorable

What are you still doing here get over there and check her out http://www.ellebelleonetsy.esty.com/

Who Needs a White Christmas?

I'm thinking pink this year! And these cards by SoCalledMommy are on my list they are so yummy.
Here's a little more info for ya about SoCalledMommy!
Q: What do you love about etsy?
A:There is such a great range of crafts and artists to choose from, and they all love what they do. Plus everyone is so supportive of all the other crafters and we all really want etsy to succeed.

Q:How did you choose your shop name?
A: When we lived in California, my screen name was So-Cal-Mommy. I had several people tell me that they always thought of it as So-"Called"-Mommy. When we moved from California, I needed to use something else anyway, and that just made since. Especially since that's how I feel some days, with regard to my parenting skills.

Q:What is the funniest thing that happened to you while doing your craft/Art?
A: I don't think I could talk about anything funny, without having my kids involved. Last Christmas, I was addressing envelopes with my calligraphy pen. I made the mistake of leaving them on my craft table in the basement, and my then 2 1/2 year old daughter found them, and another pen, and scribbled circles all over them. I was so mad when I found her that I started jumping and stomping my feet. Eventually I calmed down, and most of them were still sendable, so I did send them, and told my friends and family that my daughter said hello too. For weeks after that she kept asking me, "When you get mad, do you hop like a bunny?"

Q: What do you want people to know about you?
A: I've dabbled in so many other types of crafts, since I was young, including things like cross-stitch, sewing, watercolor, origami, and embroidery, that's it's been really nice to find my groove. My husband likes to tease me a little, because I've gotten way more "involved" (I think meaning spending more money...) in scrapbooking and card making than I thought I was going to when i got started. But he's great to support me in what I like to do. And I like all the fun things I can create with pretty paper. Besides, what mom doesn't need a little break and something she really enjoys doing?

And right now
SoCalledMommy is exclusive to Etsy check her out and at http://www.socalledmommy.etsy.com and make sure you also check out these wonderful pink Christmas tags!
